DIRECTING EXPERIENCE

Artistic Director                                 In Toto Productions

In Toto was a small scale touring company dedicated to developing a collaborative approach to contemporary performance, working with writers, designers, film makers, choreographers and performers. For In Toto I directed 11 professional shows, secured and managed 9 years of public funding and produced 14 other new shows by professional Brighton based artists. I also established a Board of Directors, secured the patronage of the late Martin Esslin OBE, and oversaw the transition of the organisation as it became a registered charity.

I worked closely with South East Arts on the development of funding programmes throughout my time in Brighton and I sat on the committee that launched the Arts Council Made in Brighton initiative. I was also a Show adviser for South East Arts.

In addition to my work with In Toto I also work as a freelance director, and have directed 14 touring shows for other companies.
